Post-acquisition company turnaround, including culture integration (large-scale culture change and leadership development programme) and design and implementation of strategic HR and Organisational Development solutions (e.g., introduction of an enterprise level performance management system), delivery of a fully integrated Organisational Development programme, including enterprise-wide Change Programme (including Leadership Development, Leadership Assessments using Barrett Culture Values Assessment and psychometric testing, Executive Coaching, and Coaching for Performance coaching skills development workshop), and design and implementation of strategic HR and OD practices (e.g., Performance Management System, Leadership Development Framework).

Project Brief

Programme role included design and implementation of an enterprise culture change programme and leadership development programme to establish best in breed internal operating models and systems to ensure future growth. Key objectives was HR and Organisational Development skills transfer to leadership team and HR Executive, including co-design and implementation of Performance Management system to ensure development of high performance leadership and culture in the business.

Strategic Approach

Application of System7™ to provide programme structure and coherence, used together with Barrett Culture Values Assessment/Leadership Development Assessment and Leading Change diagnostic and analytics tools to build deep and accurate understanding of client As-Is state. Initial diagnostic phase was supported by engagement with client leadership and co-development of a sustainable turnaround strategy.  Lead into a full turnaround programme that included testing business Total Operating Model, functional structures and oeprations, development of skills and capability at all levels of the organisation, implementation of an appropriate ICT system and build and introduction of a comprehensive enterprise performance management solution.

Business Impact

A highly successful enterprise turnaround, business is currently second in class nationally, producing strong financial results and has won global awards for operational excellence. In 2010 received global Bottler of the Year Award and achieved a Level 2 empowerment rating as a result of the organisation’s continuous commitment to the implementation of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE).
