What is System7™, CCG’s change methodology?

System7™ is The Change Consulting Group's proprietary change implementation methodology, developed in 2005.

It provides a single platform to manage the planning, execution and closing of an enterprise change or strategy programme, a structure that wraps around a strategy execution and helps map, plan and risk-assess every aspect of it, both before and during delivery.

What System7™ does

Built on international research and local best practice, System7™ integrates change management and project management principles into one framework.

Rather than treating the technical delivery and the people side as separate workstreams, it acts as an "implementation sheath" around a programme, giving delivery teams and client leadership a common structure for:

defining, scoping and documenting the programme (including a detailed Programme Brief);
identifying, mitigating and managing programme risk;
stakeholder mapping, analysis and engagement;
communication design and implementation; and
governing delivery from initiation through to closing off and sustainability.

Because it is adaptable, System7™ can be applied end-to-end or as a modular solution shaped to a client's specific context, structures and existing capabilities.

Why a proprietary methodology matters

Change and strategy implementation is exceedingly complex, and the profession has a poor track record: only about a third of programmes fully achieve their goals.

A rigorous, repeatable methodology is what turns that from luck into discipline: it ensures the myriad intersecting parts and risk profiles of a programme are actually identified and managed, and it gives everyone involved a shared map of where they are in the journey.
